I am the kid with the brand new xp... weeks before its obsolescence was guaranteed...
This has come up on mine and my boyfriend's mom's computer.  We went online just before the end of the year.

I AM GUESSING this has something to do with the newer windows updates.... is it something about all of those illegal operating systems, that I have chosen to NOT install (since they asked me....) or is it something big.

I have windows firewall, Spybot Search and destroy and your recommended AVG for my virus scan....

On her computer I reset to a restore point in January... but I am not sure when I should restore to or if it will help.

If this is Greek, I get an allocation error regarding hhctrl.ocx whenever I boot, which is not often and I can only guess it would have happened less than a month ago. My personal life is a bit complicated and I honestly can say I shut it off, but can't tell when it started...
Thanks.  I don't use this forum much but have recommended it to a lot of friends.

*chuckles* Now if everyone did that then, well, the forum would be even slower. Smiley So, well, 'tis good that you asked else I would have been bored. You might want to reboot a couple of times to ensure that it is gone but, well, it probably is.

With a Quick-Reply you can use bulletin board code and smileys as you would in a normal post, but much more conveniently.
