I keep having my Firefox browser restart with updates and apparently since July 30, there has been something screwing up.

Does this look familiar?

Server.GetMessageInvalidIdFailed to get msginfo on message id 1_968801_ADFhxEIAART9Rr90ZwNMng1ikY0

I have your AVG recommended freeware virus scan and the XP Windows firewall.  Spybot search and destroy seem to be the only programs I might have doing odd things but for some reason it just keeps TRYING to update and failing.

I'm not a Firefox guru (or even much of a fan) but where did you get this message?

As far as I know thats basically saying, it can't get updates. Try reinstalling FireFox.

Sorry,  I have just been ignoring it...
Intermittently, it tells me it has updates and wants to restart.  So I do... that is when the message comes up.  Just like the notification that it wants to update.
I did not install Littlefox this time and it seemed happy...
BUT now and then.

Also, it appears my online bill paying for the phone company is not allowing transactions through firefox.  I sort of don't trust IE as much.  I know, it is wrapped inside firefox or something, but hackers are ALL out to get IE so I have pretty much retired it since the buttons all moved and I can't put them back!
Thanks.... still hanging in here!

There's a firefox addon that lets you use the IE engine.

With a Quick-Reply you can use bulletin board code and smileys as you would in a normal post, but much more conveniently.
