I downloaded CloneMaxx to backup my C: drive and save all my information to another hard drive I have on the PC.

When I tried to install CloneMaxx it told me to install a floppy in the disk, meaning I guess the A: drive.

I have no A: drive and only 2 CD's.

Any suggestions?

Get an external floppy disk OR - if you can - check your CMOS (you might call it BIOS) and see if you can enable booting to USB. If that is the case then USUALLY when booting to USB devices your drive will enumarate as A: but it won't matter too much. Just try using a USB Flash Drive to boot to/from.

"Faintly remembers messing with his CMOS many years ago and being out of commission" Why do I have EVERYTHING important to my life on my PC now?

Though it is not free I very HIGHLY recommend Acronis True Image. I have been thinking about going there and signing up as an affiliate so that I could actually link to them and sell copies. I have surely sold plenty of copies of it over the years. (Enough so that now, well, I get free copies but that is just 'cause of the MVP program really - not 'cause they even notice my paltry contribution to their bottom line.)

Free is not my main priority. Dependable and easy to use is my #1 goal. I can't begin to tell you the amount of headaches I have had over the years trying to save $29.99 and then spending hours and hours of my time for the free software.

So this program will do what I want and be easy?

Absolutely - download the trial. Wink Warning - you might be addicted if you do though.
