I can't say I have one country artist in particular that's a fave, so how about a top five of the whole genre? Well, if you DO like one artist, then name five of their songs. What's mine is yours. Sometimes. - Loretta Lynn - You Ain't Woman Enough To Take My Man
- Tammy Wynette - Stand By Your Man
- Dixie Chicks - Hello, Mr. Heartache
- Reba McEntire - The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia
- Willie Nelson - Whiskey River
Another couple of favorites are "Drop Kick Me Jesus Through The Goal Posts of Life," and "You're The Reason Our Kids Are Ugly" by Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty.

I knew I spelled Reba's name wrong. LOL Hmm... that guy and his daughter, huh? You might have to put forth some lyrics.

Ah. I've actually never heard those songs.
I'll have to give 'em a listen. I haven't been honky tonkin' in a loooong time.

In addition - if I had to pick a favorite artist, though she didn't make the top five list, I would have to go with Crystal Gayle.

Femlow: That doesn't make it country. RWS: Well yeah? Of course you should be. I will forgive, personally, 'cause I tend to tuck him in with a sub-class called "rockabilly" at least in my mind. But he really is true hard-core country, it is just too many people liked him to allow him to remain country kinda like Garth Brooks became "pop" even before his transformation from hell.

I actually thought about him after I made my list, but I've been too tired to change things. *L* I have a family story with Charlie Daniels too, which is why I should personally be ashamed. That's what I get for having a childhood that centered around Nashville.

Take your time. It seems the rest of us are about as lethargic as snails. You just might fit in after all RWS. *chuckles*
