Yup, Charlie is a good ole' boy.

My grandparents lived in Mt. Juliet for years, which is where he's from, and my cousin went to school with his son. I think my granddaddy actually knew Charlie when he was alive (my granddaddy, not Charlie Daniels), but everybody is dead who could confirm that for me.

Also, my grama met two of the Mandrell sisters in an elevator at Vanderbilt hospital, my Uncle Sambo used to drive Johnny Cash in his cab regularly (and got to visit his house once), and my cousin drove tour bus for various country stars:

Dolly Parton
Waylon Jennings (that's why I should be beaten for my little snafu about The Big Three, although I *was* drunk)
Kenny Rogers
Johnny Paycheck

And I think that's it.

Then there was the time grama, me, mom & dad met June Carter Cash at an antique store...

Umm... so my list is pretty much all the ones KGIII mentioned plus The Devil Went Down To Georgia because those are the ones I know... and I like them. and that makes five.
