Yup... Its been turned into a movie and I hear its supposed to be out this summer some time. I havent actually read this one of this books (and our library only has American Gods) but I'd like to before I see it... But I like Gaiman... Even the BBC Neverwhere thing was horribly amusing...

I actually don't see anything that is "must see" or even really makes me want to see it? It is a bad year for movies. *sighs*

You're just saying that because you're secret jealous of Harry Potter. You want to BE him, don't you?

Ah, see I *tried* to watch the BBC Neverwhere, and it almost KILLED me. LOL I didn't like MirrorMask either. It really takes a lot for me to think something is worthy on the screen to match Gaiman's writing. I worship the man's brain. Hmmm... Stardust is one of the more hard-to-find books. I don't think it was wildly popular in the states. I'm off to look it up on IMDB now

MirrorMask wasn't really Niel Gaiman. It was mostly done by Dave McKean, who does artwork for Gaiman often (he did covers for the Sandman comics for example, and hes a great artist), and Gaiman just sort of tacked himself onto the story credits (or someone else did for publicity reasons or something). And I kinda loved Neverwhere, mostly just because it really was not so good (it was the BBCization of a novel after all...) and because the Marquis de Carabas had sweet hair. And I like MirrorMask too. The story was really nothing spectacular but I love the visuals of the movie (the whole movie was mostly just Dave McKean artwork come to life with an Alice in Wonderland story as the background).

Oh, I'll still go see it regardless. It's such a sweet story, and could very easily be brought to the screen without loosing too much integrity, don't you think?
Did you ever see the Beowulf that Gaiman wrote for? Has it been released yet?
