Just rent it. It's fantastic. The short story is that Olive, a precocious 7-yr-old, has a chance to compete in the "Little Miss Sunshine" pageant in Redondo Beach, CA, and this is the story of that journey.
Her family? A complete disaster. And yet... they are all loveable in their own ways.
Alan Arkin shines as the grumpy, heroin-snorting grandfather who is Olive's biggest fan.
There is something hidden here, in order to see it you must reply.
I hid a big, fat spoiler, because if you want to see the movie it would ruin it to read that part.
