Free for home use, businesses must pay but the cost isn't so bad. Fully IE7 functional even in the older version I have.

Take it for a spin if you'd like.

Thanks for that! Was looking for something like this. I know firefox has a good spellcheck feature too.

Yeah - Opera has one as well BUT... Well, it can be a pain to configure and install and it isn't exactly user friendly.

Another wonderful Windows app - I'll make a post sometime - is TheSage... I'll grab the URL and make a post some time, handy handy handy...

(And welcome to the forum by the way.)

Yeh, I have found out with opera that most add-ons aren't as easy to install as Firefox or Internet Explorer .  Internet Explorer is generally just some sort of  . exe then boom you got your add-on .  Firefox on the other hand is just a  . xpi (I think it's a  . xpi file type) that just installs automatically :) .  With opera I have found too much needs tweaking and generally it's a lot more complex to use then IE or Firefox .  It's still a very good browser though Wink .

Thanks for the welcome! :)

I saw you were using Firefox in your other post...

Search for "greasemonkey" and find the page at Mozilla.

Find scripts that fit the sites you visit and the things you do.

Tear 'em open and customize the ever living snot out of 'em...

*drools*

My Java skills are "okay" but my JavaScript skills are, shall we say, less than wonderous. Firefox extensions are nice but Greasemonkey's my favorite extension. IE's add-ons (or BHOs - Browser Helper Objects in older terms) are nice. Opera's TRYING with widgets that actually probably pre-date both Firefox and the extensions BUT I'd agree entirely... They're a pain in the butt to get working.

Side note: Somewhere in here there's a post about a greasemonkey-like thing for IE. I've taken it for a spin and managed to get a few to work but that was back on IE6 and XP. If you find you fall in love with Greasemonkey (for which one could easily create a spellcheck I'm sure, as well as making it check with m-w.com for tense and alternatives) there seems to be IE options as well.

I'd dig the post out but we're hunting spam as we allow guest posting today.

I like greasemonkey too .  I use that webhosting talk script but that's the only one :P .  That script effects some other sites I work on so I just disable it everytime I move from WHT .  Bit of a pain though .

I'm gonna look through the forum posts now so no worry :)
