The keyboard on my Notebook is typing some wrong characters.   (XP SP2 )  Example : "  need he3-"  translation: "I need help" the I did not even type ?  What is up with this ?  If I connect an aux.  keyboard to it. . . no problems ?

You have inadvertently turned on the "Num Lk" feature. Look at the top row of keys on your keyboard, and look for the "Num Lk" key, and press it. Should solve it. Wink

Thanks. . . but I swear I tried that.  But I have since found several trojans and rid myself of them.   This puter has a myriad of problems !  Again " Thank You " maybe I was searching too deep ?    DEB

Sometimes, when you've been infected that bad, it really is better to backup clean data, wipe, and start anew. *sighs*

Anyhow, karma added. If that is all for this question then this thread can be locked.

And, well, here's a fun one... More often than not - when I am having issues locally that I just can't seem to figure out - it is because I am looking for a far more complex fix than is required. *sighs again*

With a Quick-Reply you can use bulletin board code and smileys as you would in a normal post, but much more conveniently.
