I have done some testing and, hopefully, I have it all figured out. I could be mistaken - of course - but I don't /think/ I am?

Basically I'm going to take the RSS feeds from http://blogs.kgiii.info and convert them into PHP and automatically insert them into the database here at the forum and (with any luck) get them to appear as posts without breaking anything.

The first and initial inserting will promptly put them in backwards. Why? I haven't any idea... After that they should post in a semi-rational way with the newest being first. The trouble with duplicates has been solved. Yay. Now to just make sure they post in the right section. Wink

Eventually I may add additional feeds and tinker some more with it but it doesn't look like it is nearly as easy as it said on the box. (Okay, so it didn't have a box, it is a cobbled together solution that just seemed like the thing to see if it could be done.) So... If you wake up tomorrow and there is no forum? Blame it on me...

*goes to make a backup first*

Hmm... Seems to have worked. Over time it will flip around and show them in the right order. Maybe... Wink

With a Quick-Reply you can use bulletin board code and smileys as you would in a normal post, but much more conveniently.
