In the spirit of enjoyment I have hidden an Easter Egg here in the site. The first person to find it and PM me with the link wins a prize. The only conditions are that you must show me where you found it and you must also do so before 11:59 PM EDT and you can't be someone from SMF 'cause they'd guess it too easy. Everyone else is certainly free to give it a shot though.

Prize: Something nifty. Wink I can't tell you but if you don't like it you will get the same value in cash sent via PayPal or snail mail if you would prefer.

Well, no one found it but...

http://forum.kgii...?action=EasterEgg

There ya go.

Prize was $10 and a coffee cup or $20 if you couldn't get a cup shipped. I think we should have another type of contest like that in the future. What do you think?

The sad thing is that I am an SMF Support Specialist and I can't even figure out why it is doing it.

See the test topic before it disappears. That code is what did it. I am still not sure why but I suspect that it was one mod found one section first and then appended that. (Long winded explaining could happen but, frankly, why?)

First you would have to understand the way SMF processes XML and how the package manager works. It is basically a find/replace/add/append function. It is a "dumb process."

This forum is HEAVILY modified in every possible way that I can think of, other people can think of, etc...

The code, somehow, was changed.

Why? No clue...
How? The code sample is there.

What scares me is that, well, I have no idea what made it happen and I think that in order for this to be this way that there must have been (somewhere along the lines) something else that was broken in an array for BBCode. Yet, prior to fixing, I tested everything and it all works/resolves as is required. So, well, that's scary. Except I can't find any errors or figure out where/what went wrong?

It does. Mostly 'cause of what it will mean. This forum eats like 2 GB of traffic per month with a database that is highly specific and is running very customized software. Fixing this? Bad... Bad bad bad...
